1. Wash your face regularly
Make a point out of washing your face every single day. You would be surprised just how much our skin thrives when we wash it with lukewarm and cold water, so why not make a habit out of washing your face every morning and evening?
In the morning, wash your face with cold water because it will reduce the puffiness we all get from sleep, and it will also close your pores, thus protecting them. In the evening, wash your face with lukewarm water and mild soap, and be careful when choosing soap because too ‘aggressive’ ones will leave your skin dry.
Soaps that contain glycerin are usually the best choice because these will hydrate your skin as well as clean it. Another great thing about making a habit out of washing your face every day is that you’ll never make the mistake of going to bed with your makeup on.
We can’t stress enough how important it is to stay hydrated. People who have oily skin don’t usually apply any moisturizers out of fear that it will make the skin of their face even shinier, but that’s a mistake. Even if your skin is oily, applying moisturizer every day is a safe way to keep it healthy and glowing for a long time.
Controlled moisture is better because otherwise, your skin keeps producing more sebum which leads to clogged pores and outbreaks. Every time you step out of the shower or bath, apply a thin layer of nourishing skin cream, oil, or lotion.
