Canvas Champ Review: Printing Your Photos on Canvas

Memories are precious, aren’t they? The best memories are the ones that we keep inside – in our minds and hearts. But the importance of having tangible objects to help transport us to that place and time is massive. Those tangible objects become that much more special as our families grow. We recently sat with my mother-in-law and saw so many beautiful photos from years past. Photos of my other half as a child, photos of family holidays, weddings, and even photos of his grandfather as a teenager dating back to almost 100 years ago!

All those photos being unearthed has given us a different appreciation for the importance of preserving those memories visually. Maybe one day our children will be sharing photos of their childhood with their grandchildren and so on. Sure, devices and online photo albums are available but if you’re as nostalgic for simpler times as me you’ll know it’s really not the same.

As a blogger, we get to work with some great brands so when CanvasChamp offered me the opportunity to try out their canvas print website to print one of my special memories I jumped onboard. I’ll share with you my experience both in ease of use other their site and the quality of the product itself.

Rolled Canvas

I have a couple of canvas images at home, one is rectangular and the other is square so to try out something different I decided a rolled canvas print would be a nice change. The canvas arrived neatly rolled into a tubular cardboard package, properly addressed and secured. The only issue I had with the packaging was that even though a thick cardboard package was used it appeared to have been bent during transit. It didn’t affect the quality of the canvas all that much, but it is a bit more wrinkled than expected.

The image that I used was taken with my FujiFilm X-70 so the quality was good for the size of my print. You can use any image regardless of size but just keep in mind that the bigger the canvas print the better the image should be in terms of size (pixels) and quality.

A rolled canvas is perfect for those of you, who like me, want to get creative and frame it yourself. I am really happy with my decision and look forward to getting creative with it. For now, though, it’s hanging nicely on my wall.
