Content Overload: Simple Tips for Decluttering any Room or Office

When it comes to your house, you want to keep it as tidy as you possibly can. It is your haven that will get you away from the world and help you relax after a hard day at work. That’s why you need to make sure that it doesn’t get cluttered up with mess. Here are some simple tips for decluttering any office or room that you own and ensure it remains neat and tidy as you get on with your daily schedule.

Boxes/ Organisers

If you have a bit of a small space, and want to make it look a bit bigger by decluttering the room, then boxes and organisers are about to become your best friends. Use each box to place items inside them, such as files, books and even things like trinkets and makeup. Once you have filled up each box then you can easily slot them away under your bed, desk or even in a cupboard. You can even put them in a different room, such as a basement or even in a stylish new loft from Instaloft. Once you place the boxes away then you will instantly feel like the room has been organised.

Hanging Bags

Another way of organising the items in your office is by creating some space for hanging bags, racks or baskets. Eventually, if you place everything on the ground or around the different areas of your rooms, it will get cramped or crowded. However, if you have your items hanging on the walls then this will free up the space of your room. Just make sure to keep each bag organised. That way you will always know where to look if you are looking for a specific item.

Coat Racks

If you’re going to work every day and need a place to hang up your coat, umbrella or even your cycling helmet, your room can look awfully messy. Instead, why not have a coat rack installed in the room so that you can place your things away neatly. This can be on your door, wall or as a separate rack. It will also give you more space under your desk as it means you don’t have to store your outdoor wear down there.

Labelling

If you have small filing cabinets or bags around the room, sometimes it can end up looking a bit cluttered. Instead of just having tons of storage options and forgetting where everything is, remember to label it effectively. That way you can place objects in different areas without having to do a mad scramble to find them in the future.

Fold clothing

If you are looking to organise a bedroom, one of the most important things to do is in relation to your clothes. Do you know how to fold them properly? If you don’t then it’s time that you learn. That way you can put them away neatly and leave yourself with some extra room to fit in some additional clothing or fashion items in your cupboard. This is the perfect way to declutter your wardrobe without much fuss.
