Review of the Cute Cat Rosegal Mini Tote Bag

The Rosegal mini tote bag.

A couple of weeks ago I shared with you my Rosegal Wishlist and asked you lovely lot to help me choose your favourite item. Unsurprisingly, your favourite item was this Rosegal cute cat mini tote bag. It was such a hit that it was the first product that I had to get my hands on. I transferred my essentials from my PU Leather Solid Colour Satchel and have been using this cute bag for the past week.

Cute Cat Mini Tote Bag

If you’re a cat fanatic then this bag is for you. I have seen other designer bags that work around the same theme for 10 times the cost of this affordable alternative. I have been quite impressed with the quality of the bag itself and like that the body of the bag is quite structured.

There are two cute little side pockets that fit small accessories. I have put my antibacterial hand gel in one and my Vaseline lip balm in the other.

The inside of the bag is roomier than the bag may let on and I like that there is even a small interior bag with a zip.

It’s not a perfect bag, but it’s cute, affordable, and sometimes that’s all you can ask for from a novelty bag.

PROS

Price – The price point of this bag is a major plus point. You can get your hands on this adorable little bag for yourself or even as a gift for the cat lover in your life and it won’t break the bank.

Size – The bag is a mini-ish bag, but even though it looks quite deceitful it is a decent size internally. I like that I didn’t need to overstuff it to get my essentials into it. I was able to fit my purse, camera, lipgloss, antibacterial hand gel, a massive chocolate bar (#noshame) and there was still some room inside to fit a few more items if I would have wanted to.

CONS

Quality The strap that came included with the bag broke off after wearing the bag for 3 days. That could always just have been a bit of bad luck on my part, but I wasn’t impressed. Especially as I had found the perfect way to wear this bag was to use it cross body.

Dust Bag – There was a dust bag inside the package. But I found it to be too small for the bag and when I tested it and put the handbag inside of it the dust bag ripped. The dust bag was just cheap quality and that wasn’t something that I was impressed by.

Cat Nose Detail – I imagined the cat nose detail on the front of the bag would be made of metal to match the gold hardware, but it isn’t. It is actually yellow embroidery. The embroidery is actually really good quality. But if that was what they were going for a goldish yellow would have been a better match that the bright yellow that was used.

If you’re in the market for a cute statement bag this fun little bag is a good buy. It is probably not one bag you will purchase for longevity and it is not a timeless piece. But it’s a fun novelty item that won’t break the bank.

I don’t think I will use it for long, but that’s partly my fault for not looking into the sizing of the bag. It’s far smaller than I had hoped for. But I ended up not being completely disappointed by the size in the end. I may use this bag a few more times, or may even buy a pastel coloured one for spring. If all else fails, I may just pass this on to my cat loving little girls.
