Long-term readers will know that I am a proponent for small spaces. From a small bathroom to a small kitchen, you should still be able to live comfortably without giving up those things that make daily life easier. I’ve spoken about my current kitchen before and it’s minuscule size. Really, it’s the smallest kitchen I’ve seen and I’ll give you guys a kitchen tour soon and show off my small kitchen appliances.
For now, though, I want to share with you guys some of the gadgets that I have in my kitchen. Despite their size, they are multi-taskers and the perfect gadgets and small appliances for those kitchens that, like mine, are a bit short on space.
Multitasker #1 – Tefal RK705840 Multicook Plus 10-in-1 Multicooker
buy it on Amazon
My favourite kitchen multitasker is this Tefal rice cooker. Ok, it’s obviously more than a rice cooker, but my favourite function is the rice cooker option. A rice cooker is a must-have in our house as we eat rice quite a lot. I find it pretty difficult to cook rice on the hob. It either won’t cook properly, or even stick to the pan. A rice cooker is a must-have. You can also cook risottos, stews, soups and more dishes making it a good investment and a great addition.
Or, if you’re the type of person that likes to cook smart – why not try out some great pressure cooker recipes that are both healthy and quick.
Multitasker #2 – Tefal Actifry Low Fat Fryer
Find the best deal on Tefal Actifry
Also from Tefal, the Tefal Actifry is such a great product that won’t dissapoint. Another brilliant multitasker that not only makes healthy and delicious (and crispy) chips using 1 spoon of oil, but can also make curries, stir-fries, and more. It’s got this paddle that automatically rotates your food so you don’t have to worry about it not cooking evenly. Quite genius, if you ask me!
Multitasker #3 – George Foreman 4-Portion Family Grill and Melt
buy on Amazon
I haven’t owned this gadget for long, but I am a quick convert. It is great as it does drip any fat from whatever you may be cooking. I’m a flexitarian, and I use my grill for tuna melts and veggies mostly. I have cooked lean turkey on it and it was delicious.
I can go on and on, but frankly, it would defeat the purpose of space saving gadgets. I love all sorts of multi-purpose bits and these 3 are definitely my current favourite multi-tasking and small kitchen appliances.
