New flat update – Interiors Inspiration Needed

I haven’t written a post on my interiors situation in who knows how long! It’s been a while, that’s for sure. With lots of moves having happened and living in 3 different countries in the last 12 months, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind, to say the least! I’m now settled into a flat that I really like and want to share with you what I want to do with my space, and maybe you can get some inspiration as well help inspire my space.

The Cons

My flat is fully furnished, which is really convenient, but it doesn’t leave much space for me to put my personal touch on the big things, like furniture. That’s not really that big an issue because with white walls and tile flooring there’s a lot of room to play with. Mind you, the tile is a strange terracotta marble, and I’d prefer to have wooden flooring, but alas, what can you do.

Another of the downsides is that the furniture is ALL pine. All of it! Every chair, bed, dresser – everything is pine. That’s not particularly the look that I would go for, but one has got to work with what there is.

The last little con for me is exactly that, it’s my little kitchen! It’s not necessarily a galley kitchen, but it’s a narrow-ish type of set up that makes little sense. There’s not a lot of storage space and it’s quite claustrophobic. It’s also the only room with no window.

The Pros

There are more pros than there are cons to living in this flat, which is why I chose to live here.

There are so many windows! There is a never-ending supply of natural light, which is a must-have for me. The fact that there are windows gives the flat a light and airy feel, which is great.

Another good thing about the flat is that the living room is huge! It currently serves as a living room, dining room, and even has space for a desk! Having an open concept living area is a big plus as it just makes the entire house feel modern despite the fixtures that, well, aren’t.

Anyway, in this post, I wanted to just have a little bit of a chat with you about interiors and give you a new flat update as well as asking you for some interiors inspiration! I’ll be back with a new post soon which will be picture heavy. Wait for it!
