The Best Way to See London is a Thames River Cruise

The best way to see London in my humble opinion is a Thames River Cruise. London, is such a fascinating city and even though we don’t get to go down as often as we’d like we know that every single time we do we will have a wonderful time. There is plenty to see and do in the English capital. This time around we planned on taking a more touristy approach. Which is why we spent the entire day seeing the most popular sights and landmarks.
We have done many tourist things in London, and still have so much left to see. One of the things that we decided to enjoy on this particular visit was a Thames River cruise. It one of the best things we have done. The guided cruise lasted about an hour. Even though guided tours are the epitome of touristy, it really was worth learning so much about the history of the buildings at the bank and the river itself.
If you’re in London and have an hour or so to spare, I completely recommend taking one of the river tours. We boarded at the Westminster Pier, but you can also hop on at the London Eye, Tower Pier, and Greenwich Pier. For the same price you can hop on and off and that gives you more flexibility in terms of exploring. You can easily turn the cruiser into your water taxi for the day.
If you’re not a local, or even from the region, it is a fantastic way to take in London. There are many ways to you can see the city, but if you are a tourist and have come from abroad, this is a wonderful way to get immersed in the sights and make the most of your time and budget.
I have a few photos of the day that are semi decent in quality but they don’t do the sights any justice. From the boat we saw the Tower of London, London Bridge, The London Sea Life Aquarium, The Millenium Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Tate Modern, an exact replica of The Globe Theatre, a replica of the ship The Golden Hinde, The Shard, HMS Belfast, and so many other wondrous sights!

With tickets starting at £8.78 (about $15 USD) I think it is definitely a worthwhile thing to do during your holiday from overseas, or even if you just need a relaxing day out.
