Men are complicated beings. That’s the myth that surrounds them. In reality, though, men are much more straightforward than we give them credit for. The things men do to show you they like you may or may not be as surprising as some of us imagine.
Compliments from men on women’s looks can be a 2 a penny, but the litmus test is when a man’s compliments go skin deep. Generally speaking, if a man likes you he’ll make it pretty clear. He’ll probably listen very carefully to what you’re saying and make comments like, “that’s really interesting” and “I agree”. He’ll want you to feel that he’s listening to you intently and is genuinely interested in what you share and what your opinions are.
That’s not to say that a man shouldn’t or won’t compliment you on your appearance. After all, physical attraction is a part of dating. But if he is genuinely interested in you as a person he won’t want to make it too descriptive. He’ll just want you to know that he is attracted to you so he might compliment you on what you’re wearing, on your hair, your nails, and say things like, “I like your nails”, “That looks good on you”, “I like that colour”, “I like your hair”.
Wants to Know What YOU Like
It may seem old-fashioned to many of us but many men really do value giving traditional small gifts like flowers or chocolate. They really do see it as important to show these small but powerful gestures of affection. Just like they say a picture can speak a thousand words, so can a man feel and want you to know that him giving you a small gift can express more than what his words might say.
