Top Bridal Jewelry Trends

Sharing is caring!

When thinking about a wedding, you typically will think about the dress, shoes, and the engagement ring that the bride is wearing. However, there is a whole lot more that goes into the full look of a bride like bridal jewelry. After all, the bride needs to shine on her special day. Just like there are trends for types and styles of dresses and shoes as well as popular color choices, there are also trends focused on the jewelry that the bride will wear on her special day. Here are some of the current bridal jewelry trends to watch for.

Navette Rings

Navette rings are on the rise. Both the vintage and the new versions are on the rise. These rings are romantic and timeless but are also a bit alternative, as well. Girls who are looking to go against the norm when it comes to engagement rings may want to choose an emerald version of the navette ring to really stand out.

Bezel Settings

Many women are now looking at bezel settings as opposed to the more traditional prong setting. The bezel setting offers a more modern take than the diamond halo. As a bonus, this type of setting will help to maximize the stone’s appearance. Also, it will feel more mature and not as cliche as choosing a diamond halo.

Statement Earrings

One trend when it comes to jewelry on the big day is choosing statement earrings. These earrings are becoming more popular and are seen on both the bride and the mother of the bride. Some may even choose to have the wedding party make a statement with their earrings as well.

Colored Stones

When it comes to engagement rings, diamonds have almost always been the go-to stone. However, colored stones are becoming more popular. Pairing a colored stone with a diamond is especially popular.

There are several ways that this is being done. The colored stone may be used as the main stone of the ring or as the side stones in a halo form. This trend offers the bride to be the option of having both individuality with the colored stone in combination with the sparkle of diamonds.

Necklaces For Necklines

More modern brides are opting for dresses that provide a unique neckline. Fewer women are opting for the more traditional sweetheart neckline or strapless neckline. Instead, more brides are choosing a deep v-neck, off the shoulder, or even high necklines. This trend in dresses has led to many brides choosing jewelry that complements the unique design of their dress.

Simple necklaces that complement their dress without taking away from it provide the look that they desire without sacrificing some sparkle. Simple tennis necklaces are often the perfect choice as they are very versatile.

Pearls

There is something simply romantic about pearls. Perhaps it is because they come straight from the sea, and there is no polishing or cutting required. Engagement rings using pearls are currently on the rise. One of the reasons maybe because they are still a bit under the radar, but offer a classic look.

With all of the debate surrounding the diamond industry and the use of natural diamonds, a few women are simply choosing to opt-out of the argument altogether by choosing a great pearl as the main focus of their rings.

So there you have it. If you’ve been wanting to know more about the current bridal jewelry trends I hope this post has been helpful.
